“Cody Loop is a worthy road bike ride for those of us on the Northwest side. DO have puncture proof tires anywhere on or near Oracle Road. If you are hungry, head over to the country club at Saddlebrooke. The views are incredible.”

ROAD BIKING, ORO VALLEY – The road bike ride called “Cody Loop” is a popular ride among cyclists who live on the northwest side of Tucson and Oro Valley, Arizona.
Once you get to the town of Oracle you take a right hand turn on American Ave to ride the loop know as “Cody Loop.” Then you ride back to Tucson on highway 77. This is a fun and scenic ride, semi rigorous depending on where you start. Warning: Road bikers biking on Oracle will experience heavy traffic near the wide shoulder. Cyclists experience a lot of flat tires here. We recommend having flat resistant tires such as Specialized Armadillos.
If you need some peaceful miles, stroll on over to Saddlebrooke and road bike their many miles of stress free roads with wide bike lanes.
