How do I rent a bike from Tucson Bike Tours and Rentals?

Please use our online rental booking form. The forms go directly to our mobile phones as they come in and we are alerted immediately. Advanced bookings STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. We have a fleet of about 25 road, mountain and hybrid/comfort bikes and they book fast. Should you have any problems with our form, send us a quick email at biketucsonaz@gmail.com or use our text only number at 424 284 2601. We respond immediately to emails from 8 am to 6pm.

Mobile Bike Delivery:
Note: Tucson Bike Tours and Rentals is a small mom and pop local firm and we service our customers best who use our reservation request form.
We are a mobile operation and we do not have a storefront or walk-in facilty. We deliver bikes to those who are in the Green Valley, Sahuarita, Tubac area at no charge who book for three days or more. We deliver to much of the Tucson area for rentals three days or more. Deliveries to Tucson on weekly or longer rentals are no charge. Three day or longer rentals incur a $50 charge.
Returning Bike Rentals
For those in the Green Valley, Sahuarita, Tubac area, you may drop off bikes at the bike racks on Safeway on Continental Road or at the Safeway at Duval Mine Road. Take off the front tire and place the bike in the rack where you will see a kevlar chain and lock. Lock up the bike using combination given. Then text us that you duropped off the bike at 424-284-2601.
Tucson Bike Rentals
Tucson customers can choose to meet us in Sahurita to pick up a bike at the Frys Plaza just off 1-19 off of the Sahurita exit. Should we be unable to do a pick up, you can choose to drop off the bike in Sahuarita as well.

 

What Hours are you Open?

As a mobile operation, we have flexible business hours. We generally do rentals seven days a week during high season and five days a week during the summer months.
We are closed on the following days: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years day. We close at 3pm on the following days: Labor day, Memorial day, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve.

 

How Much Does it Cost to Rent a Bike?

As little as $45 a day! Check out some of the prices here, or go to our online booking center to book a bike!

 

What Brands of Bicycle Do you Rent?

We offer a BRAND NEW fleet of KHS road bikes in most sizes. Most bikes are aluminium frames with carbon forms. We offer select high end Trek , Cannondale and Specialized carbon frame bikes. We offer Niiner and 29er Diamondback hard tail mountain bikes. We also offer a limited selection of brand new Diamondback full suspension bikes.

 

What Type of Bikes Do you Rent?

We offer road bikes, hybrid/comfort bikes as well as mountain bikes.

 

If I Rent a Comfort Bike or Basic Road Bike can you Pro-Rate the Weekly Rate if I only Need the Bike for 5 Days?

No, we offer bikes for three and seven day periods. One day rentals incur a service charge of $40 on top of the one day rate.

 

If I Have a Problem or get a Flat with my Rental Bike will you come to me to Fix the Problem?

Sorry we can not go to your location, we are not set up for service calls, we do however send all road and mountain bikes out with a spare tube, a tire lever set, and an air source. Should you have any bike needs, we encourage you to go to Bike Hub, located in Green Valley on La Canada. You can purchase just about anything you need and you can hire them for any basic repairs.

 

How Can I Reserve a Rental Bike or Make a Reservation?

Yes, payment in full is needed when you make the reservation. This policy has cut down dramatically the number of canceled reservations and allowed us to fully utilize the bikes we have. To check availability please select a bike online, fill out our form and we will call you right away to book your reservation.

 

Do you rent kids bikes?

We have a limited selection of kids bikes, including one BMX rental.

 

Why Should I Reserve a Bike in Advance?

Our bikes are rented out on a first come first serve basis. Our availability is limited. Advanced reservations wtih payment ensures you have a bike when you arrive. DO not book a reservation without being sure you are going to follow through.

 

How are Charges Calculated?

All rentals are charged on a time basis. Select your Start day (the day you pick-up) and Return day (the day you return) and select the item you’d like to reserve. The system will display estimated rental charges for the rental period you’ve indicated.

 

Do I Need to Leave a Deposit?

To secure your reservation, you are required to pay for your rental at the time of booking. In addition, an ID and Security Deposit ($200.00) are required when picking up rented items.

 

What Size Bike is Right for me?

Click here for our bike sizing chart. When filling our our form, tell us what size bikes you have ridden the past. Remember: sizing charts are not always accurage as everyone’s body is different.
Our experts will call you to discuss sizing if needed.

 

Can I Change a Reservation?

In many cases, but not all, your reservation can be revised to change dates or equipment without penalty. Contact us or email us at .

 

Do I Have to Sign a Liability Release?

Yes, cycling can be a dangerous activity and we want you to clearly understand these risks and what responsibility each involved party has regarding your rental.
You are also required to sign a print copy of this or similar document when picking up the bike.

 

Can Someone else Ride the Bike if I Rent?

Bikes whether road, mountain, or comfort are only to be ridden by the individual specified during the rental checkout process and as outlined in the Waiver, Release & Indemnification.

 

Do you offer Rental Insurance?

No.

 

What if the Bike is Stolen or Damaged?

The renter is held responsible for rental bikes and equipment from the time it is released to the renter’s custody until the time it is checked back in. To avoid additional fees, make sure to always care for and protect your rented equipment as if it were your own. It should be returned in essentially the same condition as it left the shop. If needed, check your credit card and homeowner’s policy for possible coverage.

 

How Do you Protect my Privacy / Information?

We value your privacy as much as we value your business. Under no circumstance do we provide unnecessary access to your personal or transaction information (except as required by law).
